You have always dreamed of going on a safari in the african stepes, but it is just too far away? Now you can go right here in San Diego at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
After a ride through the San Diego countryside we will arrive at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park where you will have several options of different safaris. There are the classic caravan or Africa tram safaris, or the modern rolling safari, where you will roll around on a Segway X2 and there is even a extravagant flightline safari on which you will see the park just like an eagle on a 2/3 mile long zip line.
No matter which safari you choose you will be able to see all kind of African and Asian animals, such as elephants, lions, rhinos, gorillas, and many, many more. At 1,800 acres there live more than 3,500 animals representing 439 species.
Also there are some really interesting and funny shows, like the Frequent Flyers Bird Show and the amazing Cheetah Run. It’s a whole new experience where you can see the fastest land mammal of the world doing what he does best, running.
